Dr. Mousavian’s talk was scheduled for the eve of a decision by President Trump on whether or not to confirm that Iran was in compliance with the JCPOA. When Mr. Trump announced, ahead of schedule, that he was withdrawing the U.S. from the agreement, Dr. Mousavian had to discard the PowerPoint slide show that he had prepared about the U.S. options.
