“Taking Root” Film Screening

The award-winning film celebrates the life of Wangari Maathai, the first African woman and environmentalist to win a Nobel Peace Prize. This film by local filmmakers Lisa Merton and Alan Dater was shown in Brattleboro for the first time in over 10 years and marks a decade since the death of Maathai.
